Below is a demonstration of Parker Velcon’s new CDFX Barrier Coalescer. Flow direction is outside-in and this is a single stage water and particulate filter suitable for Type SM, Category C or M Jet Fuels. This element is designed to be compliant to the new EI 1588 specification which is currently still in draft.
The video demonstrates water after it has coalesced on the surface of the element (and only allowing jet fuel to pass through). Once when flow stops, the water …

Remove Water and Dirt from Jet Fuel and Avgas Outside-to-In Flow Cartridges
Designed to comply with the JIG Bulletin No. 49
Free and emulsified water removal to less than 5 ppm
1/2 micrometer particle removal
Provides protection against “slugs” of water
Pressure increase signals need for cartridge change
Use with existing filter housings
Patented Aquacon® Filter Cartridges have a unique high-capacity inner absorbent medium which removes all free and emulsified water from hydrocarbon fuels down to less than 5 ppm in the effluent. Absorbed water is chemically locked into …
Designed to comply with the JIG Bulletin No.58, the Velcon DPM is an all inclusive differential pressure monitoring and shutdown system.
The DPM control unit continuously monitors the differential pressure between the inlet and outlet of a filter monitor or filter water separator vessel. Whether static or onboard hydrant carts or refuelers, the DPM monitors the condition of the filter elements. In the event that the filter differential pressure reaches maximum allowable pressure, the industrial strength relay onboard the DPM control unit breaks the deadman circuit, effectively terminating the refueling operation. The system can only be overridden by inserting a …
Eaton’s Carter brand Model 60554 hydrant valve was developed to be used with a pressure control coupler. This revolutionary design removed many of the complicated control devices previously located in the pit, thereby reducing the cost of hydrant systems dramatically.
Eaton’s Carter® brand hydrant valves (Models 60554 & 61654) are now also available with a new line of
“remote” pilot options. These patented designs take the concept one step further by removing the pilots from the Hydrant Valve and replacing it with a sealed male disconnect fitting. As a result you only need to have one pilot for each hydrant …
Video Comparison of 6th Edition P-media (Super Absorbent Fiber) vs. 4th Edition N-media (Super Absorbent Polymer)
Below is a demonstration illustrating the ability of Velcon’s super absorbent media used in our CDF monitor cartridges. Both editions of the media are designed to minimize SAP migration downstream while still maintaining strong cohesion to the media. The new 6th Edition P-media tends to hold it’s shape better and is more resiliant to external forces being applied to it.
